Sold eBay 8/11/22 £3,600 / $4362. Per Mortimer 2003, “Pot lids and Other Coloured Printed Staffordshire Wares”, this polychrome / Pratt pot lid pattern is “extremely rare”, #6 of 6 in terms of relative rarity. The source print, also shown here, originated in “The Adventures of a Bear, and a Great Bear Too”, published in 1853, by Alfred Elwes (1819-1888), illustrated by Harrison Weir (1824-1906).
